Teeling Whiskey's New 21 Year Old Single Malt Marks Fourth Expression In Rising Reserve Collection

Teeling Whiskey has announced the release of its fourth 21 year old single malt to join its "Rising Reserve" range of spirits. The new expression is aged first in ex-bourbon barrels for more than 18 years before being finished in ex-white wine casks for another three year.
With a dual maturation and long finishing time in white wine casks, the expression is said to have notes of bright tropical fruits with white chocolate, hints of honey and toasted barley.
This follows last year's release in the same line, which featured a whiskey aged for 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a three-year finish in ex-ruby port wine casks.
The Rising Reserve series is set to consist a total of five releases, each containing handpicked casks of the 'oldest and most interesting' single malts from the Teeling Whiskey reserves. The fifth and final installment in the Rising Reserve line is scheduled for launch next year.
Bottled at 46% ABV with no chill filtration, only 6000 bottles are available for purchase with an MSRP of €225 (US$261) per 700ml. These will be available at Teeling’s distillery in Dublin, as well as in international markets including France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Australia, Singapore, and Japan.
