The master of cinematic aesthetic symmetry, director Wes Anderson, is soon debuting his latest film "Asteroid City", but wait - he has the perfect drinking companion for you.

Wes Anderson is collaborating with Delaware-based brewery Dogfish Head Brewery to create a 5.3% ABV Asteroid City Lager.

“Just as ‘Asteroid City’ is an off-centered and layered take on the typical science fiction flick, Asteroid City Lager provides a stratified Earthy take on a classic lager’s light and refreshing flavor profile,”

The new lager is brewed with regeneratively grown pilsner malt, savoury Tuxpeno corn malt, as well as Zuper Saazer hops. It is this finished with a mid-20th century Pennsylvania lager yeast, as an homage to the film's 1950's setting.

The beer is packed in an orange-soaked vintage national park poster inspired label that was designed in collaboration with director Wes Anderson. 

The Asteroid City Lager will be made available during showings of the movie at select Alamo Drafthouse locations across the US, and also theatres in New York City, Austin and Denver.

Fans can also purchase the lager from Dogfish Head Brewery's coastal Delaware locations or also at Eataly in New York City.
