Korean whisky distillery Three Societies is launching Batch 3 of its flagship Ki One whisky expressions. The Ki One Batch 3 will feature whisky aged in Oloroso Sherry Hogshead Casks, and will be bottled at 46% ABV. 

To celebrate the launch of Ki One Batch 3, the brand will be launching at sales kick off at the Three Societies Distillery on Friday, September 22nd, 6pm. Visitors to the distillery will not only be able to taste the Ki One Batch 3 and Ki One Batch 3 Cask Strength expressions, but also sample the Ki One Maple Syrup Cask and Ki One Rye Cask.

Three Societies Distillery is Korea's first single malt whisky distillery, having soft launched with three smaller format bottles also named Ki One, but each featuring the names of an animal representative of the nationalities behind the distillery - the Ki One Tiger, Ki One Unicorn and Ki One Eagle (read our reviews here). These represent founder Bryan Do's Korean and American heritage, and Master Distiller Andrew Shand's Scottish heritage (hence Three Societies) - you should probably be able to figure which animal goes where. 

The distillery recently debutted the first two of its flagship expressions early this year, the Ki One Batch 1 and Ki One Batch 2 (read our reviews here). The Ki One Batch 1 was aged in virgin American oak, while the Ki One Batch 2 was aged in combination of virgin American oak and bourbon casks. Ki One Batch 3 joins the roster of Three Societies' flagship expressions.
