The iconic Tiffany's New York Bar in Hong Kong's Intercontinental Grand Stanford is releasing a freshly minted limited Mars Tsunuki Japanese single malt whisky.

The expression comes from a single Bourbon Barrel Cask #T565, and is aged 4.5 Years, having been distilled in February 2018 and bottled in September 2022, at a strength of 62% ABV, with a limited outturn of 198 bottles released.

The limited edition features a label depicting a couple of cool cats enjoying a drink with an affable waiter about to comically trip, of course set against the iconic whisky bar. The single cask expression was bottled for AF Trade, a major distributor of Japanese whiskies in Hong Kong, alongside Tiffany's New York Bar.

Mars Tsunuki, based in Kagoshima, recently celebrated their 6th anniversary of their inauguration, and has been picking up steam with its releases and has won over fans worldwide, with its hefty, fruit-forward whiskies. The distillery belongs to Mars' portfolio that includes the Shinshu Distillery in Nagano, and an ageing cellar on the more subtropical Yakushima Island.

Last year, Tiffany's New York Bar jointly bottled with AF Trade a single cask edition of Mars Komagatake from Mars' Shinshu Distillery, a 5 Year Old Japanese single malt that was bottled at 60% ABV from a Sherry Hogshead Cask #3365, with a limited outturn of 265 bottles. As you might expect, this sold out in a jiffy, and picked up great reviews, most notably a 90-point from WhiskyFun.
