Uncle Nearest's Nearest Green Distillery is adding three new expressions to its portfolio - a 100 Proof Rye, Single Barrel Rye and a Single Barrel Black Label Whiskey.

The 100 Proof Straight Rye expression is the first to be released of the trio, with the Single Barrel Black Label due to be released on Black Friday (25 November) and subsequently the Single Barrel Rye on 15 December.

Uncle Nearest's Straight Rye is hand selected and taste tested by Master Blender Victoria Eady Butler. "This was a lofty experiment that worked. The results of this 100-percent rye mash bill, matured in used Uncle Nearest barrels before being bottled at 100-proof, keeps with our tradition of creating some of the most awarded whiskeys in the world. This is rye whiskey, elevated, hitting every mark with its rich flavor profile, incredible balance of spices, and extraordinarily smooth finish."

Uncle Nearest sources its rye from Canada, which is then aged in New York for four years before being transferred to Tennessee to further age and finish in its used barrels.

The Straight Rye Whisky is currently available across the US for US$59, while the Single Barrel Black Label is priced at US$79 and the Single Barrel Rye will go for US$89.
