Velier's latest series of rums from Guadeloupe comes inspired by a vintage book that Luca Gargano had came to acquire, Flora Antillarum, by François Richard de Tussac, which documents the botanical, rural, and economy history of the native plants in the Antilles, which was published in Paris by F. Schoell et Hautel in 1808, which included many illustrations of the native flora of the Antilles, and was one of the first books to do so, Tussac himself a French botanist who became a senator for Guadeloupe of the Antilles.

In the latest series, Flora Antillarum, named after the book, Luca selected images from the book to feature on the labels of rums representative of the island. With Sylvain Guzzo, Velier created the new Flora Antillarum range which has been dedicated to three essential references from Guadeloupe: Bologne, Karukera and Montebello.
