Tasmania's Lark Distillery is collaborating with New Zealand's Garage Project to create a whisky and beer pairing - Lark Fresh IPA Cask and Garage Project Fresh IPA.

Lark Distillery is known for being a pioneer in the Tasmanian whisky scene as reigniting whiskymaking after more than 150 years of prohibition, while Garage Project is New Zealand's most popular craft beer brewery with an intense cult following worldwide for their highly experimental brews.

Garage Project's Fresh IPA casks whilst having collaborated with winemakers prior, will mark its first foray into whiskies with its collaboration with Lark Distillery.

Aroma

Lime ice cream with subtle grassy hops and buttery toast.

Taste

Peaches and cream, mouth watering tropical fruits, and a distinctive malty character.

Finish

Long and fresh, the finish finds grapefruit evolving with a hint of banana bread and lychee.

Official Tasting Notes for Garage Project Fresh IPA

Lush hazy bursting with fresh cut nectarine and peach, aromatic tropical fruit, and a mellow hint of sativa resin.

The Lark Fresh IPA Cask is bottled at 46% ABV with a 500ml volume, while Garage Project's Fresh IPA, which is brewed with a blend of seven different hop varieties, is canned at 7% ABV for 440ml volume per can.

For the special collaboration, artist Joel Crosswell has created four unique labels to choose from that wraps around the four variants of Lark's single malt and Garage Project's cans. Note that the whisky across all variants of artwork labels are the same.
