Notes - The Gasanryu 影の伝説 is a limited sake that is only available in certain Gasanryu dealers. Although a Junmai sake, it has the quality of a Junmai Ginjo. Rich and supple on the tongue with a weighted body. Medium high acidity surrounding the throat resulting into a slight spicy tangerine finish. Lovely 🍚 fragrance is also evident with every sip.

As this is a bottle that I opened for my weekend stay home movie, I only managed to pair with spicy potato chips. The complex Junmai notes helps to balance the spiciness and flavor of the chips by adding that tiny little citrusy taste to it and largely reducing the otherwise overly salty feeling from the chips. Recommended to enjoy either chill or warm as the texture and taste very much differ from chilled to room temperature.

Overall, this is a good sake and a new brand for me. 🍿 🍿 🍿
