Overall - 3rd bottle of the night, an Isshobin Isojiman Namazume Ginjo. I’m actually surprised that I’m not too drunk and still can taste what I’m drinking. Nice aroma of 🍌 and vanilla which is typical of a Ginjo. However there are reminiscent of steam rice and alcohol as I first taste it. Love the level of umami that comes with it which does not covers the fruity aroma. Being a Namazume, the first impression was freshening. The medium taste and body is well suited with the medium dry level of the sake. Very suitable pairing with the oily and fatty food at this time which consists of torched wagyu 🍣 and seafood tempura. The sake has a wash and reset effect on the food that I’m having. The medium length is just enough to allow the umaminess to linger at the back of my throat. Being medium dry is good at this time of the night when all the food are on the heavier side. A perfect drink to end the night.
Overall, this is a good sake.
