A Gin-Lover's Christmas: Brass Lion Distillery Launches GINgle 2024 and Festive Gin School
Singapore Gin Distillery Brass Lion will be hosting the GINgle 2024: Merry Makan to celebrate the holiday season. GINgle 2024 is an immersive and unique gin-tasting experience combining the festive spirit with Singapore’s cultural heritage. This 90-minute long experience will involve expertly-crafted cocktails and a memorable storyline starring Sam, an affable yet unprepared host navigating his first Christmas party.
One can expect to taste cocktails including From the Vines, a mix of Butterfly Pea Gin, passion fruit, and wheatgrass foam, finished with an elegant rice paper butterfly. The Pahit Mulled Wine is also available, where Pahit Pink Gin is combined with red wine, spiced with Brass Lion’s blend of spices and citrus peels. The experience is paired with a selection of curated canapés to be paired with each sip.
On top of the cocktails offered, the event also provides a diverse festive spread that combines both traditional and contemporary flavors. Dishes like Beef Meatballs & Gravy with Hawthorn Berry Jam will be served, where beef meatballs are paired with a rich gravy and a hawthorn berry jam made from berries used in Brass Lion Hawthorn Gin. Another highlight is the Pork Roulade with Jasmine Rub, a thyme and garlic-stuffed roulade seasoned with a jasmine tea rub used in Brass Lion’s Pearl Jasmine Gin. Aligots are also served, which are smooth and cheesy mashed potatoes.
GINgle 2024 will be held every Friday evening at 7:00 PM and every Saturday evening at 6:30 PM from 29 November to 21 December 2024. Tickets are available for sale for $148 on Brass Lion Distillery’s website (early bird prices are available at $128).
Festive Gin School
During the festive season, in addition to the GINgle 2024, Brass Lion Distillery will also be inviting groups to make memories together with their Festive Gin School.
During this gin-making class, participants will have the opportunity to craft their personalized gin using Christmas-inspired botanicals. One can choose from an array of festive recipe cards featuring seasonal blends such as the Cacao Orange Gin and Holiday Spice Latte Gin.
Participants can expect to learn the art of balancing botanicals and distilling the blend to produce a unique gin. Classes are held every Saturday and Sunday in December and are priced at $220+ per session. Each session includes a welcome cocktail, the main gin distilling lesson, and a personalized bottle of gin.
Tickets to GINgle 2024 and Festive Gin School can be purchased from Brass Lion Distillery's website here.
