Explore 250 Free Flow Sakes At Sake Matsuri Singapore From 10 to 12 May!

Alright sake lovers, it's that time of year again! Sake Matsuri Singapore is back and bigger than ever, taking over the iconic F1 Pit Building from 10 to 12 May 2024. This year's main sponsor, Air Japan, is sweetening the deal even further with their new Singapore-Narita flight route – and they're giving away 4 flight vouchers to Tokyo to celebrate!

Let's talk about what you really came here for – the sake. With over 250 sakes and Japanese spirits from nearly 100 breweries, you'll be spoiled for choice at Sake Matsuri's three-hour free-flow sessions on 11 and 12 May. For those who appreciate the finer things in life, keep your eyes peeled for the Zankyo Super 7 2023 – a luxurious Junmai Daiginjo with a mind-blowing 7% rice polishing ratio! As you may know, rice polishing makes the drink smoother and more refined. Niizawa Brewery which created the Zankyo is famed for releasing the first-ever sake with a single-digit rice polishing ratio, a brand that is now known for being an incredibly pure and balanced sake.

But hey, a good drink is nothing without some tasty eats. Keep the Japanese vibes going with modern Singaporean bites from Fatt Choy Eating House and fresh oysters from The Oyster Cart. And while you're at it, head over to the Air Japan booth. Not only is this the only airline serving up to 3 different sake varieties in economy, you might could score one of 4 flight vouchers worth $400 each to Tokyo!

Now, if you're really serious about your sake game, check out those exclusive pre-festival sessions with some of the region's top sake sommeliers on 21 April, 28 April and the first week of May. Sake Samurai Mr Elliot Faber, Mr Adrian Goh, Director of Inter Rice Asia, and Mr Reuben Oh, Director of The Kabuki Works would be respectively leading these sessions that are priced between $88 to $128 per person, Sake Matsuri is donating all the proceeds to aid recovery efforts in Ishikawa – so you can sip and support a good cause at the same time. Full details will be released on Sake Matsuri Singapore’s Instagram page.

And specially for food and beverage professionals out there, this year's festival has a little something special for you – a trade show packed with talks by sake experts to raise the level of sake appreciation in Singapore. Renowned experts from Singapore and the region, including Mr Kenichiro Kojima, President of the 4-centuries-old Kojima Sohonten Co, will be presenting a variety of topics ranging from sustainability in sake production to the serving of sake in non-Japanese restaurants. The full list of talks would be available on Sake Matsuri's trade show page.

So there you have it, everything you need to get your sake senses tingling for Sake Matsuri 2024. Let's raise a glass (or an ochoko) to this awesome celebration of Japan's finest!
