A select number of guests will discover the rare whiskies and centuries of intricate craft that go into every drop of Johnnie Walker Blue Label at a series of multi-sensory tasting events at Singapore’s Mandala Club.

Johnnie Walker unveils an immersive experience, "Johnnie Walker Depth of Blue" for individuals wishing to explore the extraordinary depth of flavour in Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Hosted at Mandala Club, Singapore, for a limited time this December, whisky lovers can indulge in a sensory sensation that celebrates the rare whiskies from the unparalleled Johnnie Walker used to craft this exceptional Scotch.

Guests are invited to indulge through sight, sound, smell and taste in a sensory sensation that celebrates the rare whiskies from the unparalleled Johnnie Walker reserves of 10 million aging casks that are used to craft this exceptional Scotch.

The multi-sensory experience stimulates participants’ sense of smell using a bespoke fragrance. Johnnie Walker Master Blender Emma Walker and Antonio Gardoni from Bogue Profumo collaborated as kindred spirits to create this element of the experience. Gardoni says of the process:

“This is crafted with the single intention of conveying the rolling waves of flavour experienced when tasting Johnnie Walker Blue Label, the idea was not to mimic the whisky itself but to create a deeply complex, luxurious and intriguing fragrance that paid homage to the depth of flavour in Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

We selected top notes of bergamot and lavender and base notes of vanilla bourbon, tonka beans and iris to create overlapping waves of scent that seem to appear and disappear, marrying this beautiful sensorial story together.”

A specially commissioned 3D audio soundscape, experienced through state-of-the-art headphones, has been created to explore the flavour narrative of the rolling wave through sound. As the audio swells guests are invited to take their first sip of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Mandala Club, Executive Chef, Reuben Davis has also curated a food pairing experience that highlights the different flavour profiles found within Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Johnnie Walker Master Blender Emma Walker says: “This is a multi-sensorial experience that explores the incredible layers of flavour in this exceptional whisky. As blending experts we’ve worked hard with the experiential team to create something that is inspired by our work as whisky makers to craft those rolling waves of flavour that make Johnnie Walker Blue Label just so special.”

This event is held at the exclusive Mandala Club (31 Bukit Pasoh Rd, Singapore 089845) from 9 to 13 December 2022, with tickets priced from S$50.
