The Robertson House by Ascott Celebrates Women in Mixology & Culinary Arts This 8th March!
The Robertson House, a newly opened luxury hotel, has announced two women-led culinary collaborations in celebration of International Women's Day on 8 March.
The Hotel has just opened its doors in October 2023. Situated at the intersection of Merbau Road and Unity Street, this stunning property is part of The Crest Collection, a portfolio of serviced apartments managed by Ascott.
What sets The Robertson House apart is its unique colonial theme, inspired by Singapore's 19th-century spice trade era. The hotel exudes an old-world charm that transports you back in time while offering all the modern amenities you could wish for.
Now, here's the exciting news: The Robertson House is celebrating International Women's Day on 8th March, and you're invited to join the party! The hotel has collaborated with some talented women in the culinary and mixology world to bring you two experiences that you won't want to miss.
Chandu & Lemuel Chocolates
First up, let's talk about Chandu, the hotel's speakeasy bar inspired by the opium trade. This Friday, Chandu is joining hands with Singapore's very own bean-to-bar chocolate maker, Lemuel Chocolate, to create an exclusive chocolate and cocktail pairing experience that will blow your mind.
The dynamic sister duo behind Lemuel, Natasha Ng and Nathalie Tan, have worked closely with Chandu's expert mixologists to create four unique chocolate flavours, each paired with a yet-to-be-named cocktail. From the Hazelnut Praline Dark Ganache Bonbon to the 70% Dark Chocolate from Ghana (Abocfa), every bite and sip promises to be a sensory adventure.
And here's where you come in: Chandu wants YOU to help name their signature cocktail. Head over to their Instagram (@ChanduBarSG) or Facebook (Chandu Bar Singapore) to suggest a name for this thoughtfully crafted drink. Who knows, your creativity might just earn you bragging rights among your friends.
Entrepôt & MasterChef Genevieve
But wait, there's more! The Robertson House's restaurant, Entrepôt, is also celebrating women in the culinary arts with a limited-time innovative menu. Chef Sherine, the mastermind behind Entrepôt's kitchen, has teamed up with Chef Genevieve Lee, the runner-up of MasterChef Singapore, to create four incredible dishes each.
Indulge in the Foie Gras Parfait Tart, a delectable combination of Duck Leg Rillette, Macerated Blackberry, and Dried Cranberry Granita. For seafood lovers, the Asian Dover Sole Meuniere is a must-try, featuring Capers, Lemon, Herbs, Vin Blanc, Fennel Confit, and Beurre Noisette.
Beef lovers and Vietnam-philes won't want to miss the "Bo La Lot" Beef, a mouthwatering dish of Grilled Betel Wrapped Beef Shortribs, Fresh Herbs Vermicelli, and "Man Nem" Fermented Anchovy Sauce. And to end your meal on a sweet note, the Sake Blues dessert is a heavenly blend of Sake Kasu Cheese Ice Cream, Kinako Crumble, and Blueberry Blanket.
Every dish on this menu is a testament to the skill and creativity of these two culinary powerhouses. You can enjoy these dishes à la carte for dinner on weekdays and for lunch and dinner on weekends, from 7th to 21st March.
Head over to The Robertson House this International Women's Day. With its stunning colonial ambience and incredible culinary collaborations, this is one party you won't want to miss.
