Singapore's popular after-work haunt, Stay Gold Flamingo, is celebrating its third anniversary with a line up of exciting guest shifts from London, Taiwanese and Korean bars, as well as a special countdown party of its own. 

Situated within the CBD enclave of Amoy Street, Stay Gold Flamingo is dual-bar concept started in 2021 by homegrown bartending talents Jerrold Khoo and Bai JiaWei. Seeking to champion a sense of community while welcoming individual expression, Stay Gold was conceptualized as a modern classic bar with a rock and roll attitude, while funky neighbourhood coffee bar Flamingo serves up brunch and coffee with a splash of daytime disco funk. 

The bar recently cinched the 63nd spot on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2024, a widely watched regional list. Now, in the lead up to Stay Gold Flamingo's third anniversary, celebrations have already kicked start with day drinks and aperitivo bites by Bar Swift last weekend, and will culminate in an anniversary countdown party, concluding the month-long festivities in style.

Here's what to expect! 

Taiwanese Cocktails and Supper with Phowa Guest Shift (And Some Potential KTV?)

When: Saturday, 14 September, 8pm-12am

Phowa has quickly risen to fame for its unique and imaginative cocktails that draw inspiration from Taiwanese culture and flavors. The third concept under the well acclaimed TCRC group in Tainan, Phowa represents the transformation of the power of consciousness in Tibetan, with a modern and oriental style bar concept.

Presenting Phowa signatures such as 秋水芙蓉 Ciou Shuei Fu Rong ($25++) inspired by the lotus flowers in Baihe, a famous scenic spot in Tainan, based on homemade lotus leaf absinthe, combined with Taiwanese traditional Chinese medicine elements, blended with the fruity aroma of brandy, as well as 茶之本 Cha Jhih Ben ($25++), where jasmine tea and perilla adds to the herbal floral aroma of gin, with the addition of yuzu paste to the milk foam for fresh flavours. From 9pm onwards, our kitchen will also be serving signature Taiwan dishes such as Intestine Mee Sua, Beef Noodle Soup and Peanut Roll Ice Cream.

Reggae and Latin Music with Cocktails... by a Surprise Korean Bar Superstar

Stay Gold Flamingo is excited to welcome an OG and true game-changer of Korea’s craft cocktail scene—a mastermind behind some of the country's most acclaimed bars. This mystery guest shift is set to be one of the celebration's standout moments, giving guests a taste of top-tier Korean cocktail craftsmanship, all while grooving to Reggae and Latin beats from 9pm! Can you guess who it is? Keep your eyes peeled as exciting details will be revealed closer to date.

Anniversary Countdown Party (with $10 nett cocktails and "Happy Meal" Snack Boxes)

When: Monday, 23 September, 8pm-12am. Walk Ins Only.

To end the festivities, Stay Gold Flamingo will be having a countdown party on Monday, 23 September, from 8pm onwards. Expect a night of exceptional cocktails at $10 nett, with Stay Gold's beloved bar team members and even founders, Jerrold, JiaWei, and Ethan, in action behind the bar. Those hungry can opt for a variety of comforting "Happy Meal" Snack Boxes (from $25++) with fries, chicken wings, nuggets, served alongside a house curry dip. This is not just a party; it’s a celebration of the community, creativity, and the unforgettable moments shared over the past three years!
