So, what's on the menu?
Poggio Al Casone Chianti Superiore - Tuscany: This classic red is a marriage of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes. A vivacious ruby red colour presents an intense nose with fruity notes with violet notes. Aging in traditional casks is said to have balanced out its round and fruity character.
Capo Zafferano Primitivo Di Manduria - Puglia: On the nose, this is said to have notes of red berries tempt with hints of vanilla, toasted notes and spices which reportedly lend complexity to its bouquet. There is also apparently a great tannic structure perfectly balanced on the palate and finish. It comes highly recommended when paired with grilled meats and mature hard cheeses.
Coste Di Moro Montepulciano D'Abruzzo - Abruzzo: A biodynamic and vegan wine boasting a deep ruby red color, its bouquet is said to open with red fruit and black cherry jam with mild notes of cocoa. The palate is said to be warm, fairly tannic, soft but intense, all wrapped up with an almond finish. Best paired with cured, grilled or baked meats, as well as pasta dishes
Duca Di Saragnano Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano - Tuscany: This wine has light garnet hues in the glass, which leads up to a lasting nose that is said to have violet, forest berries, spice and tobacco notes. Tannins from slow aging in oak barrels adds structure, elegance and the smoothness to the wine.
Zaccagnini ‘Tralcetto’ Pecorino D'Abruzzo - Abruzzo: Boasting a straw yellow of medium intensity, the bouquet is said to have notes of yellow flowers, fruit and hints of herbs such as thyme and mint. The palate is said to have a continuous balance between depth, freshness and salinity.
Valdo ‘Elevantum’ Rosé Prosecco DOC Brut Millesimato - Veneto: A vintage bottle of prosecco Rosé it presents a typical floral and delicately fruity bouquet with hints of apple, pear and small red fruits on the nose. Recommended as an aperitif but equally versatile as an all-meal companion, proving a great match for light pasta, vegetarian, fish and shellfish dishes.
