Young Master Brewery's The Guild Unveils New Menu with Draft Cocktails and Asian-Inspired Comfort Food: Singapore
Heads up, craft beer enthusiasts, cocktail lovers and foodies! The Guild, a popular Singapore craft beer bar and restaurant opened by a renowned Hong Kong craft beer brewer, has announced an exciting new menu.
Opened in 2018 by the pioneers behind Hong Kong's Young Master Brewery, The Guild continues to be a popular venue amid Singapore's competitive F&B scene. Now, Young Master Brewery is Hong Kong's first and one of the most prominent craft breweries, instrumental in shaping Hong Kong's craft beer landscape, and it brought its expertise and supply of iconic craft beers on tap to The Guild.
The latest development from this establishment is a refreshing new menu, conceptualised by Head Chef and General Manager Alton Huang and Bar Manager CK Ong. The new offerings are tailored to complement an impressive selection of craft beers and cocktails, and also retains the essence of home-cooked, Asian-centric comfort foods.
Draft Beers and Draft Cocktails
The Guild's island bar, boasting 18 craft beer taps, remains a central attraction. Among these, there are 16 house brews including core ranges and limited-edition Young Master beers. Plus, 2 showcase taps support other breweries or collaboration drafts. Beers are served in various sizes from 200ml to 1.4L jugs, and highlights include the "Cha Chaan Teng Gose" with its refreshing salinity and the "1842 Island Imperial IPA" that has complex floral and zesty hops.
The expanded drinks list at The Guild now also offers Draft Cocktails, many of which ar from Young Master's canned cocktails project. This includes the “Higher than Salted Lime,” - offering a classic sweet-salty taste of Hong Kong, “Guildhouse G&T,” - using Greater Than gin, orange and grapefruit, and a seasonal variant.
Also available are Highball-style drinks like “Orange is the new Orange” and “Citronette,” priced at S$19.
There are also 7 signature cocktails with Asian flair priced from S$24 to S$30, such as “Goslar Clover” which adds a splash of Gose to give a salty touch to its fresh berry profile, “Plumsella,” which emphasises a peculiar Asian tartness with sour plum and rosella, while options like the “Red Date Redemption” and “Stout Espresso Martini” cater to spirit-forward preferences.
Comfort Food with an Asian Twist
The food menu at The Guild complements its drink offerings perfectly.
New additions include Black Pepper Glazed Pork Belly Sando ($18) and Good Ol’ Mac ‘N Cheese Sando ($17). Under the Palate Tinglers section, you'll find innovative items like Chye Poh Hummus ($13) which localises the Mediterranean dip with stir-fried pops of salted radish served alongside homemade sourdough and cucumber sticks, and Fish Fritters ($18) which serves classic battered white fish with fries and tartar sauce. There is also a refreshing Cherry Tomato Salad ($15) that includes sweet macerated tomatoes, roasted capsicum relish and orange segments scattered atop mascarpone.
Moving on to larger dishes ideal for sharing, The Guild’s Signatures include wok-fried Wild Mushroom Rice ($29), western inspired The Guildhouse Meatballs ($19), Alton’s Fried Chicken (S30) for fried chicken aficionados.
