Abelour A'Bunadh, Batch No. 56, 61.2% abv.
Nose: light white bread, light chocolate which disappears with time, light aromas from heavy purple fruits, overall smells more like white bread than anything else.
Palate: dry, flavorful, basically caramelized cherries, initial palate was dull black cherries, small berry-like fruits, mid palate is dried berries, some old cherries, some oak, back palate is caramelized cherries.
Finish: dry, super raisins, dried berries, spicey and it gets stronger with time.
Wow, another home run for A'bunadh! Less spicey than the other batch numbers, but still spicey. Thought I tried this batch before and also gave a really high grade for it... was I drunk?
Grade: A
