Aberlour A'bunadh, Batch 57, 60.7% abv.
Nose: strong sherry, honey and cherries, hints of salt, can't feel the high abv, after awhile I can smell chocolate. After four drops of water, I smell spice, salted caramel, light red fruits.
Palate: intense, drying, sweet, sherry-like, wood, a little bit of smoke on the back palate. After four drops of water, it became more sweet and more spicy. Its like drinking less viscous honey with cinnamon.
Finish: moderate, sour, wood. After four drops of water, the finish became longer and much more spicy.
Quite strong flavorwise and enjoyable. Even though the abv was around 60%, it sure didn't feel like it... this time around. Navigates around sherry and wood flavors. After four drops of water, the sweet and spicey apsects really come out. Had this at Why Not, Seoul, South Korea.
