Barkeep told me they fill the shery casks with their whiskey and let it mature for several years and then bottle half. Blackadder then fills the half full sherry casks with more whiskey and let it mature again. Apparently second venom means the first time they fill the half full sherry casks with their whiskey.
Nose is definitely sherry cask related, sweet and spicey, however it wasn't sweet. Flavors/palate wasn't strong because all i tasted was alcohol. Finish was light.
