This gold capped Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey... is for Europe and Asia, usually sold in DFS, but I've seen it in stores as well. There's also an interesting story regarding Blanton's, but I'll just list the link here instead since I cannot do better:

Nose: a bourbon nose, peanuts, good amount of vanilla in the background, redwood? cherrywood, hints of honey in the backdrop. To be honest, all these aromas are quite strong with time, like an intensity level controlled bourbon, quite subtley impressive on the nose.

Palate: dry, initial and mid palate is honey and peanuts, not much in terms of the typical bourbon sweetness typically attributed to honey syrup and overall diabetic sweetness, very low lying in terms of flavor type but flavor intensity is quite strong, back palate is spicey, burnt wood.

Finish: moderate, spicey, boiled peanut husks and shells mostly, hints of vanilla and coconuts, celery? A little numb.

A typical potent Blanton's, but this one is full peanuts and wood, more dull compared to other bourbons out there. It's not bad. It feels like its a grade lower than the better bang for buck bourbons out there like Blood Oath or Old Fitz 11 in my opinion.

Grade: C
