A single barrel pick from Blanton's for the restaurant Péché in Austin, Texas, USA.

Nose: grapes, yellow raisins, light pineapples.

Palate: initial palate light pineapples, mid palate is sweer fruit, back palate is smooth, moderate pineapples, lemons, apples, honey and oak.

Finish: short, red fruity, lightly oaked honey.

This is quite nice, very mellow for a Blantons and more fruity (in terms of american whisky) but very enjoyable. Nonetheless, I just haven't had a Blanton's I liked.

Grade: C+
