Clynelish 2008, 10 Years Old, van Wees The Ultimate, 56.8% ABV

Clynelish 2008 -10 years old - van Wees, The Ultimate -1st Fill Bourbon Barrel - Cask # 800149 - 56.8%ABV - 254 bottles
.
Nose: Honey, nectar, green apples, lemons, chalky, pollen, sniff of smoke but vanish rather quickly. Water brings out pears and custard, creamier and sweeter too. (88/100)
.
Palate: Light alcohol burn arrival but not aggressive. Vanilla stays on, minerals and salty on the background. With 3 drops of water bring out the more pears, honey notes, whisper of chalkiness and smokiness. (85/100)
.
Finish: Mid-long. Sweet, fresh, fruitiness. Waxy coated and mouth watering. Touches of pepper and hints of bitterness but it’s a enjoyable bitterness all encircled by the Clynelish’s fruit sweetness. (88/100)
.
Overall: This is a superb dram, very fruity with no overwhelming complexity. I can savour this whole night! (87/100)
