Clynelish Select Reserve - Distillery Bottling, Diageo Special Releases 2015 - 56.1% ABV. - 2946 bottles.

Nose: A thick, dense aroma where the lemons, mangoes, lime, kiwis, passion fruits slightly out-parred the Heather honey notes. More pleasant and attractive honey, pollen, nectar, beeswax and the delicateness of vanilla spring out when drops of water added in. (92/100)

Palate: Soft and elegance on arrival. Ridiculously beautiful, a near perfect texture. Honey, candy, and the orchestra of ripe apples, orange marmalade, lemons and lime continue to echo. With water: brings out the hints of smoke, vanilla that merge with wee taste of saltiness makes one’s saliva purging out. (91/100)

Finish: Long with tender bitterness. Delightful, the smokiness offer a dual role of integrating with the sweetness of honey and offering an embracing minty backdrop. (92/100)

Overall: A £500, NAS whisky chosen from ex-bourbon first-fill American oak barrels, rejuvenated and refill American oak hogsheads, and ex-Sherry and refill European oak butts. I started to believe that Clynelish is also producing honey as well beside whisky. (92/100)
