Compass Box Hedonism, Blended Grain Scotch Whisky, 3rd Release, 43% abv.
Nose: actual dominant vanilla, sweetness, some cocount, hints honey, fresh sour cream chips, really really toasted garlic bread.
Palate: true vanilla, slightly sweet, reminds me of a light pineapple coconut ice cream at CVS pharmacies. Lovely.
Finish: short, vanilla, light wood, hints of almonds, background nuts, light wood.
Dry glass: light hints of vanilla, mostly cardboard... Intensely flavored. I love the nose, the palate, it is amazing! That finish though... I think I understand why it's an almost clean finish (not sure if its intended though). The only whisky I've had where tasters said there is vanilla and there actually is vanilla (other than 1970's Benriach). I really like this ice cream vanilla flavor. I also have to state that my review might be a little biased as I like grains. Had this at Bar 31B, Seoul, South Korea.
