Glenburgie 36, 1969-2005, Duncan Taylor, Cask no. 6752, 148/178, 44.2% abv.
Nose: toast, honey, white chocolate, vanilla cream, white grapes, a slightly sharp bitter back aroma is there.
Palate: smooth, initial palate is slightly sour, light lemons, sliced fruit that's been left out for a little, mid palate has Korean melon (참외), some wood, flora near a river (or am I imagining the freshwater transporting nearby pollen?). A general freshness in there.
Finish: long, some abv burn?! hints of vanilla and grass.
This is quite nice with a variety of aromas and flavors throughout. Surprised that there are some strong vanilla and toast elements on the nose and finish, but didn't really taste any other flavors while the juice was on my tongue. Strange, but excellent whisky.
