Glenlivet 12 years old unblended all malt, 43% abv.
A 1 L Glenlivet bottled way back when. One of the bar owners most favorite bottles.
Nose: white wine, wood notes, honey, seems like a sherry cask.
Palate: cool liquid on the tongue, not many flavors, but I swear I taste light tones of beef and pork! some sweet notes, mostly oaky though.
Finish: short, wood, light sourness.
Time changed all flavors on this. Much better than most of the Glenlivet product line out there nowadays (2017), that meat like initial taste is quite interesting. Didn't get any old bottle effects (OBE) that other tasters are mentioning for these old 12 year unblended.
