Glenmorangie 10, American Mountain Oak, Duty Free Sales Only, 43% abv.
Nose: initially honey and grapes, then after a few seconds it changes to baked grapefruit, young wood, green vines, baked pie crust, cereal, oats. After a sip, it becomes old candlewax.
Palate: slighty oily mouthfeel, a little sweet, becomes wood and tobacco, slightly sour, a hint of smoke.
Finish: non-existent to short, tongue is coated with this malty, stale sourdough sort of taste.
Seems very different from the modern version of Glenmorangie 10. The older version is less sweet, but has more body.
Grade: C
