Just In 👉 Four Roses Showcases Four of Ten Unique Whiskey R...

Whisky Reviews

Ichiro's Malt, Chichibu × Hanyu, b.2018, "Double Distilleries + Peated", 13/128, 61.3% abv.

Another famous ghost series bottling at Stefan Van's 2019 liquid ghost tasting seminar at Whiskytalk Fukuoka.

Nose: light body, light wood, inside wet flesh of old wood bark, stale cinnamon, light soil, ink printer fluid, the wood elements seemed to have subsided to more, with time it seems to show bbq-ed wood.

Palate: a little dry, initial palate is a light malt, peach fuzz, mid palate shows some spiciness, very light flavors, malt and honey, wood, nothing special, back palate shows some burnt toasts. After awhile it is full of strong honey.

Finish: short to medium, boiled roots, boiled wood. Nothing much initially, but after a while I think I am sensing peaches.

Initially nothing special unfortunately, but it really changes with time. Major honey, graham, all kinds of sweet stuff. A bit conflicted.
