Kilchoman loch gorm, 6 years, 2010-2016

Kilchoman loch gorm - 6 years? (2010-2016). Nose: slightly sweet and spicey, obvious sherry influence. Palate: sherry, very sweet dry fruit, spice, hint of chocolate. No smoke or related elements. Well balanced. (Finish) short, spice kicks in and the chocolate sweetness leaves. Even though kilchoman is a new distillery, I'll admit the previous kilchomans I've had in past years were horrible, but this product was surprisingly well done, well balanced, good for a simple drink, a few grades above the edradour 10. Curious how the TWE malt of the year is now....
