Laphroaig 1991, 23 years, 52.6% abv.
This release was for the German market.
Nose: smoke, peat, wood, with a dominant amount of salt in the form of baked ham.
Palate: salty, extremely sweet, smooth initial palate is sweet, mid palate is also sweet but the salt makes itself present on the tongue, back palate has a sweet smoke.
Finish: long, has a sweet smoke that permeates the mouth, slightly vegetative.
Another amazing whisky, this one is more salty and sweet, with the salt making itself very obvious.
Grade: B+
