Just In 👉 Redbreast Brings 18 Year Old To Core Range

Whisky Reviews

Laphroaig, 25, 27, 30, 32 Years Old

The more recent, newly designed original Laphroaig bottlings. I consider them the 2nd generation lineup, all older - distilled in the 1980's or 1990's, and steering away from the signature standard green and black packaging of the 1st generation.

Laphroaig 32, matured in first-fill oloroso sherry casks and bottled in 2015 at 46.6% abv, bottled for Laphroaig's 200th anniversary celebrations.

Laphroaig 27, double matured in ex-bourbon casks and refill quarter casks, and bottled in 2017 at 41.7% abv.

Laphroaig 25 year cask strength, matured in second-fill oloroso sherry casks amd american oak ex-bourbon casks, and bottled in 2017 at 48.9% abv.

Tried to get a good shot as my first post in 2018, but its hard with 5 bottles. Couldn't have gotten all these without help from @angie.an48@out_of_the_golden_cage, and @whiskyinternational_ !!! Great packaging design by @ipl_worldwide. Interestingly, all of these bottlings were offered, and some still are, at airport duty free shops across the world.
