Laphroaig, 27 Years Old

Like everyone else, I recently went through, and am still going through, an unexpectedly extremely rough patch of life. As usual, such times shed light to ones reality and the company one keeps. Some people I have showed love to surprisingly ended up non-existent in my time of need, while others I did not actively or genuinely show love for surprisingly tried to help me, and a few bent over backwards to save my sorry retarded ass. I will truly forever be grateful. Obviously, I did not come out unscathed. I literally came out with a damaged body, dirty laundry, a broken laptop, and this pristine Laphroaig 27. I find it fitting as I feel Laphroaig is one of those products that touches my soul, telling me it's not gonna be alright, it'll most likely get worse, but it'll be here to shoulder some of the pain, some of the hardship, and it knows the pains and hardships life gives... as evidenced by taste. The rough bbq smoke and peatiness that massacres palates and throats doesn't disappear because of time, but because we, as maturing sippers, have experienced and succeeded harsher realities and devastating stories. Every bottle on my whisky wall has a story; the story attached to this bottle is one of the most unforgettable and personally one of the most touching. Hopefully one day, I will be able to pass on such Laphroaig-ian stories to my future children, given to me by a loving, loyal woman. I'll try to put a beautiful, bright, warm, kind flower in the story.
