Just In 👉 Four Roses Showcases Four of Ten Unique Whiskey R...

Whisky Reviews

Longmorn 2002, 18 Year Old, Chorlton Whisky, 51.1% ABV

This is a bit closed in when poured fresh, and extraordinary after 20 minutes. Exemplary fresh, aromatic, creamy, juicy ex-bourbon. Past half an hour it becomes a lot more nutty, oak-heavy and dry, more like unsweetened almond milk.

Tasting Notes

Nose: grape juice, dried fruit, peanuts, cashew nuts, almonds, milk chocolate, apple cider, oak spice

Palate: Medium texture, almond cream, pumpkin seeds, peach gummies, milk chocolate.

Finish: long, black pepper, breakfast tea, liquorice, hint of peach and aloe vera.

93 all day. I like my whiskies slightly more syrupy, but this was by no means thin, and I rather prefer my whiskies to err towards delicacy than power anyway.
