Mars Whisky, Burn The Barrel, Blended Japanese Whisky, Virgin American White Oak Barrel Finish, 40% abv.

One of those mysterious Mars blends that pop out of nowhere. Supposedly released in 2015 and is related to some sort of barrel aspect, but I can't recall what.

Nose: moderate to major vanilla.

Palate: light, burnt wood, purple grape cough drops, purple grape jelly and purple grape popsicle especially on the back palate.

Finish: medium to long, purple grape jelly.

This is an extremely light whisky. Smells like vanilla but has a flavor profile similar to eating purple grape jelly. Pretty simple stuff. End of the bottle.

Grade: C
