Nose: full body, great depth, syrup, crystalized grapes, a honey caramel mix comes after some air time.

Palate: medium body, seems a little dry, initial palate is like light wood, sour, tart/sharp, mid palate has more spice, light tea leaves, toasted wood, wood/oak, light grape juice, getting to some steamed banana leaves region, back palate has more wood, but still the same. Seems like there is a decent sherry or wine cask(s) element in there, but I'm not sure.

Finish: short, like a stale sugarcane juice, young fresh wood, hints of molasses, maybe even molten marshmallows.

This one seemed strong in the beginning, but luckily evened out later on. Flavors were not bad, but nothing spectacular, very sweet sugar. Seems light on complexity relative to the world of Japanese whisky though. Has great depth though, time didn't seem to change it.
