My top whiskies of 2021:

The more whiskey I try, the more I believe in the mantra of the @thewhiskeytribe — the best whiskey is the whiskey you like to drink, the way you like to drink it. So, I’ve increasingly come to scale down my prioritization of things like Top 10 lists. Everyone’s tastes are so unique, I don’t think my ranking of 5, 10, or whatever bottles helps you that much. Also, I don’t think I have a Number 1 favorite here — so much depends on my mood at the time I open my cabinet.

That said, there were a half-dozen bottles I kept reaching for all year long. I’m sharing my list so for those of you that seem to like what I like can maybe make a final December run at grabbing a self-gift.

Tomorrow I’ll explain why these 3 bourbons, and Wednesday why that rye and those single malts.
