Supposedly bar 絵里香 is a bar in Ginza that started in 1968. No idea what is in this blend. Anyone have any ideas on anything with respect to this bottling?
Nose: light, over-boiled peanuts, cooked mix of nuts, pickled meaty vegetables, steamed vegtables, hint of vanilla in the background.
Palate: coats the mouth, starts off with light peanut juice and sort of maintains that profile, the interesting part is the back palate where vanilla makes itself briefly present.
Finish: medium, vanilla aromas quickly fade and returns to what it originally was, basically boiled peanuts and steamed meaty vegetables.
I feel like many of the flavors were purposely mellowed out. It's pretty consistent until I hit the back palate where that hint of vanilla popped up, like vanilla whack-a-mole. Wish there was more though.
