Tasting Note

Nose: sweet mirin and chicken, green apples, coconut, orange oil, white pepper, apricots

Palate: Juicy texture, no astringency, pears, limes, nectarines, a hint of heather maybe

Finish: Peaches, watermelon rind, vanilla ice cream, lime sorbet. S/O who's not into whisky said unprompted that "the aftertaste is damn long and sweet!"

Incredible - 93 all day for me

Tasted at a whisky fair local to me. Also had drams of two 9yo Chichibu single casks for slightly over 10USD to put what we could get and for what prices into perspective.
