Talisker 10yo, 45.8% abv.
Nose: light peat smoke, tea,
Palate: oily, salty, hidden vanilla in there, back palate has some smoke, vanilla is more noticeable, quite flavorful. With time the vanilla is quite upfront with the salt close behind, but the peat seems to take a faraway backseat until it hits the back where its role reversal. So interesting!
Finish: medium, peat smoke, vanilla ice cream, coffee creamer, with time a vanilla and minty flavor surfaces.
I'm pretty sure the An oa I just had affected this. Quite the salt peat smoke profile. Like it that I was able to pick up vanilla in there, had to look for it though. It's a really well done core range bottle.
