Willett Family Estate Rye 3 year, Barrel 1245, 185/192, 55% abv.
Nose: sweet candy, rock candy, sweet ginger, ginger tea.
Palate: initially honey, then heavy spice, generally honey and quite tasty.
Finish: wow, spicy. Moderately long.
Dry glass: mellow honey.
Tasty and spicey. Intense. Not the most descriptive of notes, but I was a little shocked to try this as my first drink of the night and I was a bit distracted once we sat down.
Grade: C+
