[Whisky Dram] Teeling Single Grain. Creamy Alcohol. Irish Single Grain Whiskey.
#whiskyPhDram No. 29. Teeling Single Grain. Creamy Alcohol. Irish Single Grain Whiskey.
Nose - crispy cereals on milk, green grapes with a little alcohol burn
Palate - bourbonesque light vanilla that grows creamy in the palate, but with a little sting of alcohol, damp fresh wood, berries and sugar grains at the end
Finish - starts off deliciously creamy then tapers off into a little bit of cough medicine bitterness, light and enjoyable
Feels like a young Compass Box Hedonism.
I’ve taken to grain whiskies recently. And when you consider value for money, this one is way up there in terms of bang for your buck.
This Irish grain whiskey is made with a mash bill of 95% corn and 5% barley. It’s triple distilled and matured exclusively in french oak ex-Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks from California. It’s bottled at 46% and unchill filtered too.
This one is really affordable too. You can get a bottle from liquor.ph for between ₱1,650 to ₱2,050 (33-41USD).
