Congratulations to my good friend @guiyang.bites for hitting 5000 followers. To celebrate we did a collaboration on this cocktail. It's a Bloody Mary with a twist, using ingredients and garnishes typical of Guizhou cuisine.
1.5 oz Moutai Xiyan
1.75 oz guizhou sour soup
1.75 oz tomato juice
2 drops litsea oil
Throw (or shake if you feel like it) and garnish with guiyang roast pork, fresh chili, cilantro, pickled green beans, and pickled pink radish.
I think I'd add a few drops of soy sauce to this and tweak the ratio of sour soup to tomato juice, but overall this made a very potent and very good Chinese style bloody mary. Sour soup is a Guizhou specialty thats made out of fermented tomatoes and chili. Litsea oil has a super strong lemon citrus flavor without the acidity. Definitely a great brunch cocktail, now if only more places here did brunch.
