A name straight out of IKEA - Bunnahabhain's Stiùireadair; pronounced ‘stew-rahdur’ means ‘helmsman’ in Gaelic. It is the first release from the distillery to pay homage to the Bunnahabhain Helmsman - the figure on the face of every bottle label. For the distillery, the Helmsman is a remind of the distillery's origins and a symbol of their eternal appreciation of the sea which surrounds them.
This bottle was created using first and second fill Sherry casks with whisky of various ages and warehouse locations to produce a dram that reflects the coastal nature of Bunnahabhain, with a good dose of Sherry influence.
