It's that time of the year again! The time when winners of The World's 50 Best Restaurants are announced and foodies around the world prepare to rave and rant about the chosen winners.
This year's list marks the 21st edition of the annual restaurant ranking, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Penna, and was announced on Tuesday 20th June at Valencia. The ranking features venues across 24 territories in five continents.
Representing Asia was a total of seven restaurants from across Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Bangkok. Singapore's Odette topped the Asian venues, ranking at 14th place, followed closely by Bangkok's Le Du in 15th place and Gaggan Anand in 17th Place. A city not to be outmatched, Tokyo was well-represented on the list with three restaurants: Den (21st), Florilege (27th) and Sezanne (37th). Rounding off the list of Asian awardees was Hong Kong's The Chairman, which came in at 50th place.

Odette (Singapore) - 14th Place
