📍O/T Bar
Some concept bars tend to fall short when it comes to widely incorporating a certain theme into the design of the bar and the drinks. However, O/T Bar, a Tipsy Collective establishment, is a refreshing exception.
Modelled after 1940s Manhattan offices, this place drives home the feeling of bringing the party back to work on a Friday night. The dining experience is immersive from the moment you step in - we were given time sheets which are chopped to mimic the ‘clocking-in’ feeling. Each drink ties into this theme and the bartender took the time out to explain them to us. We really appreciated the great service as well as the attention to detail on the receipt that was printed on the timesheet. This hidden gem was a memorable experience and worth another visit!
Here’s what we ordered:
🥂Que Sera Sera: Herradura Tequila, Bitter Truth Pimento Dram, Tempus Fugit Crème De Cacao, Giffard Agave Syrup, Chilli Smoked Solution, Citric.
This was a bold and unique mix of cacao, citrus and chilli and each flavour had its moment. The classic tequila and chilli solution combination felt like popping candy in the mouth and the dried dragonfruit garnish elevated the presentation of this drink.
🥂Sloe Day: Yaguara Blue Cachaça, Monkey 47 Sloe Gin, Strawberry & Rosemary Shrub, Cranberry Juice.
A fruity and light drink that brought out both sweet and sour notes. The dried garnish had a candy-like texture and was a delicious combination! Overall, a great drink to start with.
🥂Black and White: Basil-infused Cocchi Grappa, Plantation Dark Rum, Muyu Chinotto Nero, Cocchi Rosa Americano, Lemongrass Bitters, Citric, Charcoal Cranberry Syrup.
Never had a black cocktail before that doesn’t have a coffee/espresso flavour to it but this cocktail was such a burst of so many rare flavours that one wouldn’t think of mixing together. Overall, it was a sweet cocktail with a fresh berry-like aftertaste!
