1945 Château Mouton Rothschild Sets Consecutive New World Records At Singapore Wine Week 2026 Grand Cellar Auction

Singapore Wine Week 2026 saw two consecutive world records broken at its Grand Cellar Auction, where it achieved back-to-back world record hammer prices for a single 750ml bottle of Château Mouton Rothschild 1945.
The first world record was first set on Lot 286, when the bottle fetched SGD 80,000. This was shattered moments later when the consecutive lot commanded a staggering SGD 100,000 (both figures recorded before buyer’s premium).
The previous benchmark for a single 750ml bottle traces back to a 2016 Sotheby’s sale in New York, where a 10-bottle lot of Château Mouton Rothschild 1945 from the cellar of collector Bill Koch realized USD 343,000.
That result averaged approximately USD 34,300 per bottle, equivalent to roughly SGD 43,900 today.

Singapore Wine Week 2026 brings together international collectors, producers, trade leaders, and enthusiasts for an immersive curation of fine wine auctions, masterclasses, and exclusive tastings.
The Grand Cellar Auction formed part of Singapore Wine Week 2026, presented by Impeccable APAC and Park90, with Resorts World Sentosa as the event’s Official Integrated Resort Partner.
