Sydney's Archie Rose Distillery has collaborated with the National Gallery of Australia to celebrate gender equality through the works of Australian artist Cressida Campbell, shining a light on her works and the initiative Know My Name. The result of this collaboration is a new gin - the Cressida Campbell Gin.

Given the artist's love of gin, Archie Rose was inspired to feature Cressida's artwork Ginkgo (2016) on the new limited gin. Working together with the artist, the result is a gin that is composed of botanicals including juniper, cassia bark and native sunrise lime.

The limited first batch run will have an outturn of 400 bottles in celebration of the opening of the Cressida Campbell Exhibition in Kamberri/Canberra from 24 September 2022. The exhibition will showcase over 140 works from the artist's four decade long career, "exploring the depth and virtuosity of Cressida’s work, celebrating transitory moments in life from a working harbour to a plate of ripening persimmons."

“Like everything Cressida does, the gin is beautiful, meticulous and incredibly detailed. Delicate looking yet built with strong foundations, the unique beauty of the Gingko flower has intrigued Campbell to create this work and gin – one of Cressida’s cats is even named Gingko,

The National Gallery is delighted to partner with Archie Rose to celebrate the life and career of Cressida Campbell by bringing this special gin to life.”

The Cressida Campbell Gin is part of Archie Rose's cultural partnership with the National Gallery to support the Know My Name mission of achieving gender equality and showcasing the diversity and creativity of Australian women artists. Previously, the initiative's collaboration with Archie Rose produced the Know My Name Tailored Gin and Vodka together with artist Marian Tubbs.
