
US-based barrel ownership platform Barrel Global has partnered with Banijay Entertainment, creators of the hit TV Series Peaky Blinders, to launch a new, limited-edition Bourbon.
The Bourbon is the first release in what will be a new line of Peaky Blinders-branded spirits, distributed by Barrel Global as the TV show’s spirits partner in select regions.
This will be done through collaborations with craft distillers worldwide, sourcing and blending premium spirits while combining innovative packaging with engaging storytelling.
Peaky Blinders Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is distilled at the historic Kentucky distillery Green River Distilling Company. Barrel Global selected and blended the liquid, which was finished in barrels with Irish whiskey oak staves.
The whiskey is said to combine elements of both Irish and Bourbon whiskeys, presenting nose notes of cherries, stone fruit, honey, citrus and baking spices. On the palate, it presents toffee, cloves, nuts, caramel, marzipan, and cinnamon spice.
Independent creative agency Boundless Bite Marketing created the label for the release.
Bottled at 45% ABV, the Peaky Blinders Whiskey is now available for online pre-orders at the Barrel Global website at an MSRP of US$44.99. It will also be available from early March at retailers across the US, Canada and Mexico.
