The annual US Edition of Japan's much beloved Chichibu Japanese Single Malt Whisky is upon us this 2023!

And more excitingly, it seems like we're going to get a label refresh after five years of Declaration of Independence-inspired labels that detailed the barrels used for the single malt, as well as a little tidbit about Chichibu Whisky's story.

Now in its sixth edition, it seems like we're going to get a more artistic label - no less patriotic - as it depicts a melding of two worlds: a Japanese bartender sharing a dram with what looks to be Commodore Perry. As we have a peek into their intimate exchange, we see a wonderfully blended backdrop of Japan's iconic Sakura flowers and also the US Capitol.

A really gorgeous label indeed!

Although we've had to give up the details of the barrels that's gone into the new US exclusive expression, we can still suss out from the back label that this is bottled at 61% ABV.
