George And Amal Clooney To See First Wines From Provence Estate Hit Shelves This Spring
George and Amal Clooney had made a splash in 2021 with their Provence situated Domaine du Canadel purchase, but come 2024 is time for them to see the first fruits of their wine foray - the estate is slated to put out a white and rosé expression in Spring.
While the name of the estate's wine brand has not been officially announced, given its Brignoles location, the wines will feature under the Coteaux Varois en Provence AOC designation. Much of what is to come have been a two decade work in progress by wine consultant Laurence Berlemont, who has been prolific in working with the likes of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Miraval wines, as well as George Lucas' Chateau Margui.
Previous harvests from the estate had been sold to local cooperatives and thus this will be the first branded expression to be bottled from the estate.
Much of what is grown within the Coteaux Varois en Provence AOC has featured the likes of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre for the Reds, and Semillon, Grenache Blanc, Vermentino and Ugni Blanc for the Whites.
It won't be long before we'll get a first look!
